I have been fascinated by computers, how they work and operate, etc., since I was a child. Eventually I began my journey in software development in 2004, working across several different programming languages and technologies. I started out using platforms such as Visual Basic .NET, C++, C#, some Java, and SQL Server. I even got to play around with old 80s punch cards and flowcharts since my primary instructor started in the 70s and 80s (haha).

After stepping away from the industry for several years, I returned to software development in 2017 and re-entered the field as a freelance engineer. Initially I was building out custom websites using Wordpress, building themes and plugins, and working on debugging for Wordpress sites, but then I eventually moved on to full-stack development, working with and designing databases, designing and building APIs (mainly using Node.js and Express), and working on front end applications (mostly using React and Next.js). All of my professional work since 2017 has been fully remote.
